3.15 AM AND OTHER STORIES – A Review

Just a rant : I love a good short story because then I can read and come back to the book as and when my spirit is ready for it . Sometimes, you read the book in the wrong season of your life and it doesn’t quench your appetite.

Genre : African Lit/Fiction

Author: Rudo D M Manyere

Themes: immigration,love,loss ,self righteousness

Popular book by author : It’s a debut!

Anci’s Book Summary : I have never met Rudo and I promise she could care less who I am but this book was like a ode to every African.

I have never met a short story collection I want to continually read and that continues to whisper to me as I sleep. The stories begin from the arrival of white settlers to modern day Zimbabwe. The stories have everything from romance ,drama and betrayal making it the perfect read.

Stories I am obsessed with:1965 and Chipo

Story/stories I didn’t vibe with :Kurauone because it broke my heart and the narrative keeps slapping me in the face
